Blog Evaluation 

During this project I feel like my blog/research has not been as good as my other projects. This is because have been feeling fatigue this college work in general. I have been studying at college for four years, this has contributed to my fatigue. However, I do believe my blog work is not to bad and almost at a merit level. Somethings that did go well with my blog was the start, talking about the history of music videos and the different types. I believe I did a good job with this section. Along with this I think I did a good job with the artist research and market research. In the long run it did not make sense to do my market research on Lil Peep because I changed my idea back to my original idea. This made it much harder to organise later on when it came to filming my music video. Overall, I think I did a ok job with my research on my blog, I believe it is not at a high level. Next time I will make sure to stick to one main idea instead of just changing it all the time which will not help my end result. I will make sure to come up with a strong plan beforehand then adapting the idea more, when it comes to my FMP.

Filming Evaluation 

To start off my filming I had to get permission to film within the photography studio. To get permission me and a classmate when to ask to use the studio. Nick the photography tutor gave us permission. Before I started recording, I booked out one camera and a tripod. Once this was done Austin (classmate) put the camera and tripod together as I set up my guitar. After all of this was done, I started filming. This took around 30 minuets. When completing this I felt it was very good as Austin helped me get a wide range of angles that were very good and used within my final edit. Somethings that when well were the filming process and getting permission. These where very easy to get because the photography studio was free and there was spare equipment. Throughout the filming process there was nothing that went wrong, the filming went very smooth. When thinking back on the filming process the only thing, I could have done differently was planning a little bit better. However, this was not a problem, and everything went very well. Overall, the filming was very good as the camera work was good, there was no problems. Next time I will make sure to plan ahead a little better. Apart from that there was nothing that went wrong.

Editing Evaluation

The editing process for my music video was simple. This is because all I had to do was match up the footage of me playing with the song. This was very simple as I just used the audio from the camera to match it up with the song. After matching it up I got done the long clips of footage that would be the main footage. When that was completed, I started to look at the other angles that I had to add onto the timeline. Once that was all added I made sure that none of the footage was out of sync with the song, that process took a little while as I need to go through every clip. To make editing easier I added marker at the start of editing at the main parts of the song, where it would change to the carouse for example. When finishing up my editing I added a title at the start of the song as I had no footage to put there. After editing I felt like the final product was ok. This is because I enjoyed editing and it came out quite well, but I believe there was some things that could have been changed to make it better. Somethings that went well were put the footage together, that process was very quick for me. However, some things that went wrong were the intro. Thinking back on my editing I could have change the intro and made it a bit better instead of what I have. This is because the intro is a bit basic and there's not much to it. Overall, I think the final product is ok but could be better. I have learnt that planning further ahead and filming sooner is better for the end product as you will have more time to edit, also refilm it needed. For my future projects I will make sure to film soon to give myself lots of time to edit and get feedback. This will be very beneficial for the some of the other projects I will be making in the future.

Music Video fitting target audience

This music video will fit the target audience for Motionless In White (MIW) because a large amount of the fan base will be into instruments. I believe this performance based music video fits that target, because the music video I created highlights the electric guitar within this song. Along side that I chose to have the colours that match the album cover and the theme of the song. With all of these elements combined the music video will appeal to MIW's fan base.
